TT / Passive cooling system
High-performance electric vehicles will always get hot, that's a fact. For us at Awake, that means another engineering puzzle to solve.
Our patent-pending passive cooling system ensures that all components are properly cooled during the ride. As the name explains, it's a passive system which means no output power is lost trying to cool down the batteries or driveline.
Simply by letting the surrounding water into the battery compartment combined with our engine being outside the board shell, the passive cooling does its job. Even though it sounds simple, there's a ton of engineering behind the design. The system is efficient enough so that you are able to put the battery on charge directly after a ride without having to consider potential overheat.
Complex technology made simple.
